Project Giving is underway! As I mentioned in my previous post, my goal, vision, or whatever you choose to call it, is to give this year. I have decided this year I will actively be involved in the Help Portrait Program. But instead of just one day, December 8th , 2012, I have chosen to do it the whole year and just so happened that I had the perfect candidates. To kick off the giving this year I choose a family that is dear to the Williams family’s heart.
This family consists of a single mom and three gorgeous children. The mom taught my son in grammar school and they adored each other. Our families grew close throughout the year and we have kept in touch all this time.
Recently the mom was involved in a violent car accident at no fault of her own. As she sat waiting at a train crossing, another vehicle tried to maneuver through the crossing when the car was stuck and collided with the mom’s car. She was taken by life flight to the hospital with serious head trauma. After some time in the ICU she was moved to normal room and later discharged. The recovery will be long but she is making tremendous progress. She will be out of work for an extended period of time until her condition improves. This very independent lady now has to depend on others, and that can be a tough pill to swallow. But this I know, FOR sure, that what the devil meant for evil, God can turn to good. I know that sometimes we can not see the plan before us because the circumstances are so huge. This is the time we have to learn to let go and let God.
Anyway, Misty, my wife, and I thought that it would be a perfect gift to photograph the kids and give Mom a wall portrait to remind her how blessed she is. These kids are so hilarious and we had a great time with them. What a blessing to us to be able to do this for them.
I thank you, Lord, for the gift of photography you have given me to bless someone else. Help me to use its full potential.
P.S. Keep it a Secret! If you know who this is, please don’t speak of it because we have yet to deliver the images to
